A system of lines scratches the surface, saturating all the available space. As if engraved above it, a series of parallel bands of colour in the foreground divides the subject into panels, while the tone-on-tone choice lends uniformity to the whole. This subject freely interprets the collection theme “Beyond form”, a contemporary reinterpretation of pure, rigorous narrative pattern, monochrome shades, and texture: typical of the architectural movement of the 1950s, Brutalism.
